Over the past decade, the world of anime has grown in popularity. With this growth in popularity came a surge in the number of anime series being created and released in various forms. Major series have come out, many of them featuring some of the strongest characters that anime has ever seen.
As wonderful as this is, it can be difficult to narrow down who the most impressive characters are. We took a look at the strength, grace and power that most anime heroes display and created our list of the most prolific ones below.
Jotaro Kujo
As the third protagonist in the famed JoJo series, Jotaro is arguably the most powerful member of the Joestar lineup. He began by developing the Stand Star Platinum, which afforded him the simple ability to punch opponents with great force, and incredibly quickly. Of course, all good anime heroes deserve good power-ups, and Jotaro is no different.
As the series progressed, Jotaro grew and gained the ability to actually stop time! While he can only stop time for a maximum of five seconds at a time, his Star Platinum abilities mean that Jotaro never actually needs longer than five seconds.
Koro-Sensei
Assassination Classroom’s lead protagonist, Koro-chan, began his journey as a legendary assassin called The Reaper. For years, he worked in the shadows before being experimented on. Eventually, he was given a body that is made entirely of anti-matter. This new body allows him to regenerate from almost every attack made against him. He is also capable of becoming invisible and can move at an incredible speed of Mach 20.
All Might
As the ultimate symbol of peace, All Might was ranked as the leading hero in his world. Midoriya, his successor, is not yet able to use his power in its fullest form. For this reason, many still look to what All Might was able to show us all.
Despite facing a monster that was designed specifically to beat him, All Might emerged as victorious as if he was enjoying the smartphone gaming NZ has to offer. He refused to give up in what has been hailed as one of the decade’s best fight scenes. All Might was also able to throw punches so hard that they changed the weather. To top it all off, we know that All Might was once even more powerful, but his powers dwindled as a result of a devastating injury.
Saitama
The entire point of Saitama’s character is that he is the most powerful person in the universe. His entire first season was based on an alien invasion that occurred because another incredibly powerful character was looking for a challenge. He thought he was a match for Saitama but was turned into dust by just one punch.
During the second season, a character was hunting down and destroying other heroes while Saitama searched for him – meanwhile, he had already stomped him twice in incidental encounters. Without any real challenge to his strength, Saitama remains the single most powerful anime hero of the past decade.
